I Forced A Frog Prince To Marry Me, Or Else....(A-Not-So-Retelling of The Princess and The Frog)

Genre: Low-fantasy, slight comedy, touches of sarcasm, Aesop Carl from Identity X's fan fiction, and a mention of Gojo Satoru from Jujutsu Kaisen (eww... delusional).

Start: 11:03pm, 24th March 2022
End: 12:03pm, 25th March 2022

Confession: I got this short-story idea after my best friend, Aihara sent me a message, telling me a frog jumped straight at her face.

A note before you start: Aihara and Feyssa are best friends in real life, they only sound 'gay' on social media, and the event of them breaking up is not real (we are still normal, don't worry).

START FROM HERE:

Aihara Rei was a Spinning Painter who can spin everything she drew came to life (and occasionally, she hated that gift because it was so troublesome for her). She will always be seen by the others in the middle of the night, sitting on her balcony with a brush in her hand to painting everything she wanted to.

A fortnight ago, she broke up with her girlfriend, a Story Twister named Feyssa because she found out that Story Twister cheated on her back with a man—a fictional man, actually—named Satoru. Did she feel angry and sad? No. Not really, since she knew Feyssa too well. That bitch Story Twister was always a playgirl. A casanova, to be exact. So, she wondered how much longer this time until Feyssa broke her new boyfriend, Satoru's heart (I repeat, Satoru is not real. Feyssa is, in fact, delusional). She bet it would only last for a freaking week or two weeks.

Thus, there she was, sitting on her balcony with a blank canvas in front of her. To be honest, she didn't know what to paint. What should she paint? A sky? An ocean? Well… she didn't have the answer. Without thinking anymore and making herself got a headache, she ended up bringing her hand to the canvas and letting her hand draw whatever it wanted to.

Until there's a green frog jumped straight at her face. The frog feels so sloppy and pulpy despite how ugly the frog was. She never thought that frogs' skin is that sloppy. When the frog tried to get away, she jumped from her sit and snatched one of the frog's legs. She wanted to feel more of that sloppy skin. More and more.

“Hey, where do you think you're going?” shrieked her to the frog when she finally managed to catch it in her hand.

She grinned as she saw the frog trembling in her palm.

“Little little naughty frog. You just jumped to my face, and now you want to go away like that? No way. Kiss me first before you wish to go away.” She said before laughing at what she just said.
God, of course, the frog won't understand her words, right? But then… she heard a sigh from her palm. She averted her gaze to the frog and oh my goodness, did she just see the frog was smirking at her right now?

Aihara feels confused about what she just saw. And suddenly, without her realization, the frog launched itself again at Aihara's face, but this time it was straight to her lip.

Her eyes bulged, shocked by the frog's action. After the frog kissed her, all of a sudden, there was a radiant light from the frog, forcing her to close her eyes with her hands gestured to her face, endeavoring to resist the light.

Minutes changed, and the light started to fade. Slowly, she opened her eyes and her jaw dropped.

“What the hell?” The words blurted out from her mouth. She felt thunderstruck with the view in front of her right now.

A tall man was standing in front of her. The man had dark gray hair that was combed to the left and tied into a ponytail, a pair of eyes that were the same color as his hair, and a peach skin tone. Aihara swore he was the most beautiful man she ever met.

The man looked at her with a bored expression.

“I don't know whether I should thank you or not, but sheesh, thank you for breaking my curse as a frog. My name is Aesop Carl, but you can call me Aesop or whatever you want to call me. I'm a prince, but I think I'm no longer a prince since my kingdom was so ancient, and they already disappeared a long time ago. It's not…  Really nice to meet you, desperate kisser.” His tone sounded sarcastic escorted by a sigh.

Aihara just kept silent. She didn't believe her eyes. It was a man—a handsome man—standing in front of her right now. Was she dreaming? Somebody, please slap her!

“Hey, are you deaf?”

Aesop's voice made her thoughts fly away. Aihara rolled her eyes.

“Of course, no, bro.” Told her with a cold tone. She can feel her heart racing and her face burned by the blush, but she didn't want the frog prince who claimed he was from a disappeared kingdom—Aesop, whatever his name is—to know about it.

Aesop clicked his tongue. He shook his head as he opened his mouth.

“Well… thank you for turning me back into a human after years I had been curst. So as an exchange for your not-really-good deeds, what do you want me to do for you?” Asked Aesop, heavy-hearted when saying that.

Aihara's eyes shone with Aesop's offer. What did she want the most from this prince from a disappeared kingdom? His assets (he will absolutely don't have that anymore since he was a prince from a disappeared kingdom, right? But who knows? Maybe he still had some assets left)? Huh, what?

Then, an idea came to her mind as a smirk lifted on her face. She knew what she wanted from Aesop. What? What is it? What was the thing she wanted the most? After too-long thinking, she knew what she wanted the most from the prince.

With a dark, mimicking the villain's voice, she said to Aesop, “Give me your life or else—” but not, yet she can finish her words, Aesop cut her.

“Or what? You are going to kill me? Ohhh, I feel scared! Mommy, Daddy, help me!” Aesop acted like a damsel in distress, pretending like he was in danger.

Aihara dimmed her eyes. She felt like she wanted to launch a punch when another idea came to her mind. She smirked. An evil smirk.

“I will call my best friend, Feyssa. She is a Story Twister, and I'm pretty sure you know what the story twisters can do, right? Maybe I can ask her to make your life painful.” Aesop's face turned pale after hearing the word 'story-twister'.

Of course, he knew what can the Story Twisters do. If the Spinning Painters can paint something into reality, the Story Twisters can twist someone else's life story to become dark and the most gruesome, torturing life story you will ever read.

Just thinking of that made him get goosebumps. He loved himself, he didn't want his life story to become a painful story someone else read, so he didn't have any choice but to give his precious life to Aihara.

He nodded repeatedly, making Aihara smirk brightly. Seems like using her ex-girlfriend's name had numerous benefits, right? And she didn't feel sorry for selling Feyssa's name to make Aesop obey her.

“Good boy.”

Hence, this story ends with Aesop the Frog forced to marry Aihara the Spinning Painter. And they lived not so happily ever after (technically: Aihara married Aesop so she can take all his assets, that was the first reason and the second one was because he's handsome. That's all).

THE END.

Hi!
It's been a long time since the last time this blog had been updated. Truth be told, I lost this blog account, hence it become so hard to retrieve it back. And now, I'm here again yay!

Let's talk about this short story.

Just like I have said in 'Confession', I got the idea to write this when my best friend sent me a message, telling me a frog jumped at her face last year. So, I was like... "Oh, let's write about this." and bibidibabedibu! I wrote it, yay!

When I sent her this story, she laughed out loud and approved it.

I feel like I wanted to share this story with you guys, alas, here you go! I hope you enjoy it!

(p/s: Please don't complain about the title. It's intentional. To make it sounds funnier duh)

Sincerely,
Feyssa.
